For nearly one thousand years, this Grade I Church has been at the heart of the parish – set in a lovely village with a great community spirit. We have weekly services at 11am both clergy and lay led– all accompanied by our regular organist. The congregation are very welcoming and we'd love to see you.
The recently installed kitchenette and toilet has increased the community use of the building, and future planned changes to the layout should help to make our lovely church even more accessible.
The active ‘can do’ PCC work closely with ‘The Friends of St John’ to hold a variety of events that involve the whole community: The mid-summer Fun-Day (with Teddy Parachuting), Advent Dinner and the fabulous Christmas Tree Festival are some of the highlights.
It is a very popular location for Weddings and Christenings, with a very fine set of bells. It seats around 120 people. There is community hall opposite the church which can be hired separately. Any questions, please ask Margaret.
