The church at Morcombelake, is also known by the title "Stanton St Gabriel". The present church, Stanton St Gabriel daughter to Whitchurch Canonicorum is on the A35 is not far from Felicity’s Farm Shop.  We have services at 9.30am on 2nd and 4th Sunday each month, attended by a small but faithful congregation. The original church, now a ruin, is on the slopes of Golden Cap. Team services are held there twice a year, Ascension Day and a summer Evensong.

Along with St Wites Well, which is also close to the church, the St Gabriel's ruins are a site of pilgrimage on the St Wites Way. For more information, please ask Margaret.

St Gabriel's Church is part of the Golden Cap Benefice, a group of twelve parish churches within the Church of England in the Diocese of Salisbury.  The team covers an area of sixty square miles of beautiful coast and countryside along the Jurassic Coast and across the Marshwood Vale.
